Use the new ‘Change sort order
‘ menu item to open the custom sorting screen. The sorting screen has options to select from:
Save frequently used custom sort orders with a name. Easily switch to them from the sort order dropdown.
Saved sort orders can also be used to sort tasks in the task list widget.
Simplified the settings screens for task list and task count widgets.
Archive tasks
‘ options had disappeared in a recent beta update. Fixed.Continue reading “Todo.txt for Android – v 2019.0722.2.32.25”
Search state, and task list state history were not maintained when device was rotated. Fixed.
Removed Dropbox’s chooser library. Replaced with directly launching Dropbox to select task and archive files.
Done
‘ button)Added new settings for adding projects and contexts to new tasks:
Add ‘filtered project/context
‘ to new task text – switched on by default
Set ‘default project/context
‘. This project and/or context will be added to the new task text when the previous setting is off, or when the list is unfiltered.
Suggest default contexts and tags when there are no contexts in the user’s task list.
task archiving
Archive completed tasks to your archive file by selecting ‘Archive completed tasks
‘ from the options menu.
This moves the completed tasks from your tasks file to the archive file, and clears them from the app. If you have switched on the ‘Clean projects
‘ setting, archiving also cleans unused projects.
Auto-archive archives tasks to the archive file automatically as soon as they are marked complete. ‘Auto-archive
‘ may be switched on from settings.
Auto-archive only clears tasks marked complete in the app, and not completed tasks synced from Dropbox (marked complete in another app or CLI)
Feedback links are now directly available in the app – in the options menu and in navigation drawer. Please do share your feedback for any bugs you encounter, or feature suggestions.
Minor tweaks to the appearance of the bottom navigation drawer, and a couple of bug fixes.

Long press a task to select it, and to enter task selection mode for quick editing.
In the initial release, a simple tap selected the task and switched to task selection mode. This caused overlap confusion between tapping on task (to select), and tapping on a project/context tag (to filter list by it).
Now, long press selects a task. Once a task has been selected, the more can be selected by tapping on them.
When in selection mode, the header shows number of tasks selected.
Added text descriptions to the quick edit bar shown in task selection mode.
I may, in a future version add a setting to toggle this text description off.
An early beta version of my Todo.txt app for Android is now available in the Play Store.
Please do give it a try, and share your feedback here.
Todo.txt Solo supports all core features of the todo.txt format (http://todotxt.org/), and is fully compatible with the Todo.txt CLI and my Todo.txt Chrome extension.
The core functionality available at the moment includes:

iDoneThis is a unique productivity tool that begins where normal productivity tools finish – after you complete a todo/task. The core idea is very simple – log your completed tasks in (as you go, or once daily), and then track, search, tag, discuss, share them as you want.
To log a task you can either email a specified email address with completed tasks (better: just reply to their daily emails), or go the iDoneThis website to log the tasks.
Users can be part of (and post dones to) multiple teams, say one for each project or department. Completed tasks can be #tagged for easy organisation, and team members can comment on and/or like each completed task.
The log-by-email option used to work for me till, as a productivity hack, I decided to keep my email client and Gmail tabs in a default closed state all the time.
The hack’s worked brilliantly! There’s no notifications, and no more quick-check-if-there’s-any-important-new-email only to spend 15 mins going through unimportant, but interesting ones. I open the email client now only when I want to send an email, or am taking a break so I have time to spare. No more interruptions!
The downside to this successful hack is that now I don’t want to open the email client, more recently the Inbox tab, or the iDoneThis website just to send a one line completed task email. And so, slowly, I stopped logging any dones at all.
This new extension, Done!, is my solution to this problem – a way to quickly log completed tasks to iDoneThis without sending an email, or opening the website. Quick, simple, single-purposed.
