How to manually update Chrome extensions

Google Chrome auto-updates extensions regularly – usually checking once every few hours if connected to the internet.

Sometimes I, or other extension developers, may request you to manually update an extension. Here are the steps to do that:

  1. Open this url in Chrome: ‘chrome://extensions/'

  2. Switch on the toggle for ‘Developer mode’. New options will appear in a bar below.

  1. Press the update extensions button. This will manually update all your extensions to the latest version available.
